Creative Works of Lancaster presents AWKWARD DATE STORIES, two nights only, on Friday, February 14 and Saturday, February 15, 2020, at Modern Art, 529 West Chestnut Street. Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. to begin seating and serving drinks. Two complimentary drinks are available with each ticket.
Conceptualized by local artist Chris Silansky, AWKWARD DATE STORIES brings Lancaster’s true, awkward, outrageous, funny, ridiculous, peculiar, and bizarre date stories to life. After reading through a treasure trove of stories submitted through an online form, writers adapted several into a series of short performances that will be presented in a cafe-style setting at Modern Art this coming Valentine’s Day weekend.
Contributing writers are Pete Barry, J.P. Cohen, Erich Goldstein, Jennifer Hill, Chris Silansky, and Nicole Weerbrouck. Directed by Bob Breen, the cast includes Karla Akemann, Cynthia Charles, Bob Checchia, Liz Checchia, Joseph Eck, Starleisha Gingrich, Deborah Good-Zeiner, Becky Groff, Allison Hutt, Howard Kelin, Christine Koslosky, Kathy Robb, Lily Ross, Josh Rottman, Josh Schwartz, Chris Silansky, and Layne Zeiner.
