Volunteer

You know how Uncle Sam, in that famous poster, wants you? Well, so does Creative Works of Lancaster! But our army, an army of volunteers, exists to “make art, not war,” another great American phrase twisted into a new meaning for a new time and a new Lancaster.

Do you want to help bring original theater works to Lancaster? Do you want to see the kinds of films that don’t get shown here? How about hear bands that you haven’t heard, or heard of, but you will? There is a thriving arts scene that hasn’t yet made it to Lancaster, but Creative Works is going to change that!

This is where you come in. We want to do more, bring more to the city. But we need help. We need volunteers. We need you!

An example: We want to bring a free classic play to the city this summer. You could act, build sets, make costumes, serve on the stage crew, or even help us raise money so we can offer it for free.

We need people to identify up-and-coming independent bands, contact them, arrange for them to come to Lancaster. Ask not what Creative Works of Lancaster can do for you, but what you can do for… well, you get it.

So contact us. Email us at info@creativelancaster.org. Or find us on Facebook and leave a comment saying, “I want to help with…” But in your message, don’t just end it there. Add a verb, maybe a nominative clause. Just start typing and you’ll figure it out.

Join us. The few, the proud, the Creative Works of Lancaster. Which really is too long a name to work well in that slogan, but the idea is the important thing. Get the idea. Get the picture. Get involved!
